First Friday Talk

Prime time for hiking, backpacking and enjoying Sedona's forest resources is upon us.  Learn a skill from a local search and rescue expert that could prove to be a useful technique for wilderness recreation and safety.

The presentation will include ethnographic information about the manufacture of plant fiber cordage products by prehistoric cultures, especially cultures in the Southwest.  This will be followed by hands-on instruction and participation for all interested in how to make cordage as was done for thousands of years.
